Charles Higgins

Mr. Charles D. Higgins, 75, of Carlton, Georgia passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Higgins was the son of the late Alfred and Gladys Witherow Higgins.He was the husband of Joyce Farnham Higgins, having celebrated over 56 years of marriage. In addition to his wife, Joyce, Mr. Higgins is survived by his children: Roger Higgins of Cranesville, PA, Jeffrey Higgins of York, PA, Kevin Higgins of Brunswick, GA, and Barbara Slay of Elberton, GA. He also leaves behind his precious grandchildren: Stacey Darin, Nathanael Higgins, Sarah Livengood, Katie Higgins, Hannah Higgins, Matthew Slay, Adam Higgins, Eric Higgins, and David Slay. Mr. Higgins is also survived by one brother, John Higgins of Boone, NC,and two sisters, Ruth Kennedy and Lois Menzie, both of Irwin PA. A service to celebrate Mr. Higgins’s life was held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. Jimmy Bryan officiating.A time of visitation was at 6:00 p.m. at the church just prior to the service.
