Charles J. Nixon, Jr.

Mr. Charles J. Nixon, Jr., 79, of Frank Kelly Rd., Canon, GA husband of Dorothy Mae Patterson McKee Nixon passed away Monday, July 18, 206 at St. Mary's Hospice House.

Mr. Nixon was born October 14, 1936 in Joplin, MO to the late Charles J. Nixon, Sr. and Arnettia Usher Nixon. He was of the Baptist faith, a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years Dorothy Mae Patterson McKee Nixon; children Wanda Allen of Stokesdale, NC, Jeanette Caulder of Walnut Grove, NC, Jackie Giles of Pelzer, SC, Jerri Andrews of Piedmont, SC, Tena Leslie of Greenville, SC and Gina Martin of Pelzer, SC; sister Edna Westbrook of Pickens, SC; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Dale McKee, and daughters Linda Powell and Yvonne Lanier.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 1PM, Thursday July 21 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home and will receive friends from 12-1PM just before to the service at Berry Funeral Home. The family will be at the home.

Cremation will follow the service.
