Charles Lindy Willis

Mr. Charles Lindy Willis, 93, of Deadwyler Rd., Elberton, GA passed away Friday, August 13, 2021.

Mr. Willis was born April 26, 1928 in Elberton, GA to Thomas Willis and Zelma Dunbar Willis. He was a member of Doves Creek Baptist Church, a retired top polisher in the granite industry and was an U.S. Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his wife Eugenia Kathryn Dye Willis; sons and daughters-in-law: Charles and Jan Willis, Larry and Myra Willis; grandchildren: Amy Pitts and Marshall Willis and great-grandchildren: Parker Pitts and Carson Pitts.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: Herman, Jenelle and Tommy.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Monday, August 16, at Doves Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Huff and Rev. Michael Emmett officiating. Interment will follow in Doves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Marshall Willis, Terry Pitts, Barry Moon, Robbie Moon, Johnny Moon and Corbin Mattox serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be his great-grandchildren Parker Pitts and Carson Pitts.

The family will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM just prior to the service at Doves Creek Baptist Church.

Flowers are optional and memorials can be made in his memory to Doves Creek Baptist Church.
