Charles Payne

Mr. Charles Payne, 81, of Powers Road, Lavonia, husband of Judy Clark Payne, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mr. Payne was born in Toccoa on June 14, 1939, son of the late William Payne and Ruby Moore Payne Williams. He was the former owner/operator of Tastee Freeze in Royston.

Survivors include his wife, Judy; children: Buddy Payne, Terry and Beverly Payne, Mike and Susan Payne, Deborah and Barry Flurer, and Sherry Peeples; siblings: Ray Payne and Wick Williams; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
