Charles Rawson Rampey

Mr. Charles 'Rawson' Rampey, 98, of Elberton, husband of 65 to the late Bertha Mae Saxon Rampey, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at LifeCare of Gwinnett. 

Mr. Rampey was born in Elberton on August 18, 1926, son of the late Raymond Riley Rampey and Ava Slay Rampey. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and a retired stone cutter. 

Survivors include his children: Cynthia Rosser and Charles Richard Rampey; grandchildren: Autumn Michelle Rampey, Elizabeth Ashley Albritton, Austin Taylor Rampey, Charles Vincent Rosser, Joshua Caine Rosser, and Jonathan Micah Rosser; and great-grandchildren: Malachi Joseph Rosser, Grayson Riley Dove, Brenden William Sharp, Tatiana Nevaeh Salgado, and Leovigildo Charles Salgado. 

At the family's request, no services will be held. He will be laid to rest with his wife on Wednesday, January 8, in Elmhurst Cemetery.
