Charles Robert Shirley

Mr. Charles Robert Shirley, 84, of Ben Shirley Lane, Lavonia, GA passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025. 

Mr. Shirley was born March 30, 1940 in Hartwell, GA to John Ben Shirley and Lorene Tucker Shirley. He was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Cotton Mill.

He is survived by his wife Margie Whiten Shirley, son: Tony Shirley of Lavonia, GA, daughter: Theresa Kesler of Lavonia, GA; siblings: Johnny Shirley of Lavonia, GA, Mary Ben Rice of Hartwell, GA; grandchildren: Kristen Smith, Dale Shirley and great-grandchildren: Trey Silvia, Waylon Smith, Hunter Shirley and Emberlyn Shirley.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers: Joe Alton Shirley, Fred Lee Shirley and a grandson Brian Shirley.

Memorial services to celebrate Robert’s life will be held 2PM, Saturday, January 25 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church and the family will receive friends from 1PM to 2PM just prior to the service at Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
