Mr. Charlie Andrew Clamp, 87, of Rhodes Drive, Elberton, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Athens Regional Medical Center with his wife, Carolyn Brown Clamp, at his side. Mr. Clamp was born on July 15, 1927, in Elbert County to the late James Jackson Clamp and Corrie Lee Henderson Clamp. He was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church, owner-operator of Clamp Memorial Services and a U.S. Navy veteran. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Carolyn Brown Clamp of the home; three sons: Andrew, Ron, and Mart; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Sunday, February 15 at 3:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams and the Rev. Joe Watson officiating. Private inurnment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home on Rhodes Drive, Elberton and will receive friends from 2-3PM Sunday at Berry Funeral Home just prior to the service. Flowers are optional, and memorials may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center East, Suite 550, Atlanta, Georgia 30346.
