Mrs. Charlotte Elaine Madden Garrett, 78, of Elberton, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital. A native of Elbert County, Mrs. Garrett was the daughter of the late Ellis Waco “Bud” and Louise Scarborough Madden.In 2008, her husband, Loyd Daniel Garrett, preceded her in death after 51 years of marriage.She was also preceded by her brother, Rahnal Madden. Mrs. Garrett worked for the Elbert County Board of Education in food service.She was a faithful member of Fortsonia Baptist Church. Survivors include children, Waco (Shelia) Garrett, Renae (David) Rampey and Jeff (Angel) Garrett, all of Elberton; grandchildren, Jessica (Anthony) Clark, Justin Garrett, Amanda (Robbie) Rousey, Alison (Thomas) Lamb, Alaina (Corey) Payne, Jake (Brooke) Garrett and Luke Garrett; great grandchildren McKenzie Clark, Colton Clark, Morgan Garrett, Brooklyn Rousey, Kennedy Rousey, Charlotte Payne, Asa Payne, Garrett Lamb and Addison Lamb;Brother and sisters in law, Kenneth (Helen) Garrett, Lillian Garrett, Katherine Garrett, and Edna Cook. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 14th at 11:00 a.m. in Fortsonia Baptist Church with Rev. Al Butler officiating.Intermentfollowed in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Jake Garrett, Luke Garrett, Anthony Clark, Robbie Rousey, Corey Payne and Thomas Lamb serving as pallbearers.Members of The Golden Threads Sunday School Class served as honorary pallbearers.
