Mr. Chris Snellings, 52, of Augusta, entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2018, in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
Born on August 16, 1966, Chris was a native of Elberton, Georgia having made Augusta, Georgia his lifelong residence. He worked as a Senior Functional Consultant and was currently employed with CherryRoad Technologies. Before his long career as a consultant, he was the Deputy Comptroller with the Medical College of Georgia (ASU). Chris was also a member of National Hills Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memories are his high school sweetheart and wife of 29 years, Yvonne (Smith) Snellings; son, Spc. Corbin Snellings of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; mother, Carolyn Carithers Snellings; brother, Duane and Jane Snelllings, both of Elberton, Georgia; and extended family and friends far and near.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Snellings and his grandparents.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at National Hills Baptist Church, 2725 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30909, with Dr. Kevin Steele officiating. Family will receive friends Thursday morning prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private and held at a later date.
The register book will be available at Berry Funeral Home until 4:30p.m. on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in his memory; however, if you do send a flower, all floral arrangements should be delivered to National Hills Baptist Church on Thursday morning.
