Clara Suttles Burdette

Clara Suttles Burdette, 88, of 3375 Anderson Highway, Elberton, widow of the late John M. Burdette, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at the Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Burdette was born in Anderson County, South Carolina, December 31, 1921, daughter of the lateThomas Haskel "Tom" Suttles, Sr. and Eddie Strickland Suttles. She was a member of the Savannah Pentecostal Holiness Church in Iva, SC and was a homemaker. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she is survived by nephew, Gregory Ellison of the home; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 2PM Friday, December 31, 2010, in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Reverend Frankie McClain officiating. Burial will follow in the Iva City Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2PM Friday at Berry Funeral Home just prior to the service.
