Mr. Clifford Jackson Bond, Jr., 88, of Cardinal Drive,Elberton, GA husband of Betty Dye Bond passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bond was born September 13, 1926 in Elberton, GA to the late Clifford Jackson Bond, Sr. and Margaret Cleveland Bond. He was a member of Elberton First United Methodist Church, a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and was retired from Southeastern Power Administration where he was a engineer. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Betty Dye Bond; sons and daughter-in-law Clifford Jackson Bond, III and Catherine of Winston Salem, NC; George Bond of Athens, GA; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary George Bond. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 2PM, Sunday January 25 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Watson officiating. Inurnment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family is at the home on Cardinal Drive and will receive friends from 1-2PM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
