Clyde Ellis Houston, 62, of 1762 Athens Highway, Elberton, passed away Thursday morning, January 19, 2012, at Elbert Memorial Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Mr. Houston was born in Commerce, December 12, 1949, to the late Louie and Kathryn Benton Houston. He was the owner of Elberton Tire & Wheel Company and was an avid fisherman. Left to cherish his memories are one nephew, Shane Hawks of Danielsville; and several friends. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he is preceded in death by one sister, Alma Beth Houston. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 4PM Saturday, January 28, in the Cross and Flame Building at Elberton First United Methodist Church with Mr. Danny Bessinger officiating. At Clyde's request, his body will be cremated.
