Dalton Beri

Evangelist Joshua “Dalton” Beri, 18, of Charleston, Tennessee, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at a local hospital.

Dalton was a loving son and “Mama’s Boy,” a friend to all, a heart to serve, an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. Always shouting with a shout of triumph, he was known to be a great warrior, with a high kick to kick the devil out of whatever he was facing. He served many years in ministry with song, playing his washboard, and winning many souls to the Lord. He ministered across many states, including Georgia, Arkansas, Florida, and Tennessee. Dalton had a spiritual gift of faith to see visions, to see the face of God, and to touch the hardest heart.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kyson Beri; his sister, Christian “Gracie” Beri; grandfather, Alvin Swan, and maternal grandparents, Dale and Carol Clarke.

He is survived by his parents, Patrick Gordon Beri and Angela Christine Clarke Beri of Charleston; two sisters, Brittany Sparry and Melinda Schales of Cleveland; two brothers, Patrick Beri, Jr., of Athens, Georgia, Jordan Beri and; grandparents, Louis and Betty Beri of Elberton, Georgia, and Maxine Swan of Charleston, TN ; and several nieces and nephews and extended family members also survive.

A celebration of his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Buffington of River of Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in Calhoun Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes to conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.
