Daniel Bruce Oxner

Daniel Bruce Oxner, 85, of 124 Lake Forest Drive, Elberton, widower of Jean Bedenbaugh Oxner, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010, at the Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mr. Oxner was born in Leesville, South Carolina, August 3, 1925, son of the late J.D. and Florence Asbell Oxner. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and was retired from the McKesson Pharmaceutical Corporation. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Jan O. & Russell Eyman of Kathleen, GA and Kaye Oxner of Cumming, GA; five grandchildren, Tiffany & Don Hudak, Jack F. Waybright, III and Jessica Waybright, Erica Justice, Micah Eavenson, and Joseph Waybright; six great-grandsons; and one sister-in-law, Macie Oxner of Florence, SC. Mr. Oxner was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry J. Bridges, and a brother Edwin L. Oxner. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held at 12Noon Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Phil Harkey officiating. Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 10-11:30AM Saturday at Berry Funeral Home.
