Darla Smith Murray

Mrs. Darla Jean Smith Murray, 55, of Carlton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in St. Mary’s Hospital. A native of Stephens County, Darla was born on September 12, 1962. She was the daughter of Shelby Jean and the late John T. Smith.Darla worked as a nurse until her health failed. Mrs. Murray is survived by her husband of 32 years, Walter Murray of Carlton; two sons: Robbie Murray of Carlton, and James Murray and wife, April, of Colbert; and her mother, Shelby Jean Smith.She also leaves behind two grandsons, Nykolas and Hunter; and a brother, Karl M. Smith. No services have been planned at this time, however a memorial service may be held at a later date. Arrangements for Mrs. Darla Smith Murray are in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
