David Randolph Mccarty

Mr. David Randolph McCarty, 60, of Bodie Rayle Road, Elberton, husband of 30 years to Dixie Rayle McCarty, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. McCarty was born in Athens on November 1, 1957, son of Robert McCarty and Bobbie Jean Campbell McCarty. He was of the Methodist faith and loved classic cars and guns.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his children: TyRayle and Miranda McCarty, Reed and Leann McCarty, and Briar Daniel-McCarty, all of Elberton; grandchildren: Aiden, Barrett, and Ava; uncle and aunt: Jimmy McCarty and Barbara Ann Franklin; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, March 30, at 3 o’clock at Eliam United Methodist Church with the Rev. Laura Patterson officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.

Contributions may be made in his memory to Eliam United Methodist Church, 2130 Dr. George Ward Road, Elberton, GA 30635.
