Della Faye Hawks Rice

Mrs. Della ‘Faye’ Hawks Rice, 81, of Tanglewood Drive, Elberton, wife of the late Edward Lloyd Rice, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.

Faye was born in Galax, Virginia on December 23, 1940, daughter of the late Rufus Calvin Hawks and Della Viola Dalton Hawks. She was a retired certified nursing assistant and a devoted Jehovah’s Witness at the Elberton Kingdom Hall.

She is survived by her son, Rodger Lantz of Elberton; and numerous grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sons: Calvin Gene Lantz and Danny J. Lantz; daughter, Sherrie Anne Lantz; and a devoted step-son, John Edward Rice.
