Mr. William Dennis Ray Duncan, 62, of Draper Avenue, Greenwood, SC, formerly of Elberton, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2019, at his daughter’s residence in Colbert. He was twice married, first to the late Donna Guest Duncan and second to Mary Joyce Williams Duncan who survives.
Dennis was born in Greenwood on August 30, 1956, son of the late William Phillip Duncan and Elizabeth Geneva Pless Duncan. He was of the Pentecostal faith and the retired owner/operator of Designer Granite Company. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and attending auctions.
Survivors in addition to his wife of the home include his children and their spouses: Amanda and Alex Duck of Colbert and Patrick Duncan of Danielsville; step-children: Janice and Damien Dill of Hodges, SC, B.J. Magaha of Hodges, SC, and Miranda Magaha of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren: Roselyn, Alexa, and Asher; step-grandchildren: Savannah, Silas, and Scarlett; siblings and their spouses: Jean and Clyde Sanders of Hartwell, Dean and Christina Duncan of Royston, and Brian Duncan of Elberton; mother-in-law, Kathleen Williams of Greenwood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, August 9, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
The family is at the residence of Alex and Amanda Duck, 60 Lola Street, Colbert, and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00p.m. on Thursday evening.
