Dennis Fredrick "Dink" Burgess

Mr. Dennis Fredrick “Dink” Burgess, 68, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020, at Northridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Commerce.

Mr. Burgess was born in Athens on September 22, 1952, son of the late Fred and Bobbie Lee Kitchens Burgess. He had worked at Classic City Pools and enjoyed playing “Santa Claus”, cooking, and will be remembered for his famous BBQ sauce.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle “Shelly” Burgess of Anderson, SC; siblings: Barbara Ann and Wayne Ledford of Crawford and Keith and Denise Burgess of Arnoldsville; brother-in-law, Lamar Bridges, Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl Bridges.

A Celebration of Dink’s life will be held on Saturday, October 24, at 1 o’clock at American Legion Post 123, Highway 22 North in Lexington.
