Dennis Odell Haston

Mr. Dennis Odell Haston, 66, of Melody Lane, Elberton, husband of 46 years to Patsy Jo Haynes Haston, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital with his family at his side.

Dennis was born in Elberton on October 12, 1954, son of the late Odell Haston and Norma Gaines Haston. He retired as a sandblaster after 45 years of Century Harmony Granite Company. Dennis was a member of Philomathea Masonic Lodge #25 and of Elberton Church of God where he served as Pioneers for Christ Leader. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed working on small engines, especially those of golf carts. Dennis also enjoyed his time as an Elbert County Little League Coach.

Survivors include his wife, Pat; son, Christopher Haston and fiancé Jade Andrews; siblings: Donnie and Harriet Haston, Barry Haston, and Teresa and James Hall; siblings-in-law: Randall Haynes and Margaret Brady, Pete Haynes, and Debbie and Joe Grimes; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Debby Haynes; and niece, Tiffany Grimes.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Friday, February 19, at 11 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. James Gunn and the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.

The family is at the residence and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 10:00-10:45a.m. on Friday prior to the service.
