Dolores Chase Carter

Mrs. Dolores Chase Taylor Carter, 85, of Elberton, GA passed away Monday, March 12, 2018.

Mrs. Carter was born in Sandy, OR March 20, 1932 to Howard Chase, Sr. and Gladys Arneson Chase. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: JoAnn and Greg Gunter of Elberton, GA, Carol and Steve Ward of Wilbur, WA; sons and daughter-in-law: Harold and Cathy Taylor, Jr. of Elberton, GA, John Edgar of Manzanita, OR and Darrell Edgar of Brooksville, FL; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband: Harold W. Taylor, Sr.; second husband: James Carter; and brothers: Howard “Bud” Chase, Jr. and Harold Chase.

Graveside funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:30PM, Wednesday, March 14 at Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. David McConnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1PM just before the service at Berry Funeral Home and at other times at the home of JoAnn and Greg Gunter, South Tusten St. Elberton, GA.
