Donald Reed Butler

Mr. Donald Reed Butler, 77, of Grovetown, GA, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Augusta, Ga. Mr. Butler was the son of the late William and Annie Mae Allgood Butler.He was the husband of Ann Turpin Butler.Mr. Butler was a veteran of the U.S. Army,and served as a pastor for many years. Mr. Butler is survived by his wife, Ann Butler, of the home;three daughters: Sandy Butler of Elberton, Barbara L. “Gigi” Twigg of Cosby, TN, and Donna Kay Lovinggood (David) of Elberton;and 6 step-children:Carolyn Morris (David) of Augusta, GA, Doris Appelt (Richard) of Thomson, GA, Irene Drake (Noble) of Warrenton, GA, Bonnie Taylor (Paul) of Cartersville, GA, Tommy Young of Washington, GA, and Edward Young (Linda) of Cummings, GA.Mr. Butler is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a sister, Marian Butler Gunnells,and a brother, Bill Butler.
