Mr. Donald Clay Fossitt, 75, of Plantation Road, Elberton, husband of Janet Anderson Fossitt, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at his residence. Mr. Fossitt was born on July 11, 1938, in Maysville, Kentucky, to the late Clay and Evelyn Clevenger Fossitt. He retired from Homeland Security after 32 years of service. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janet Anderson Fossitt of the home; son, Tim Fossitt of Maysville, Kentucky; daughters, Angela Breeze of Maysville, Kentucky, and Lori Cooper and her husband Jason of Maysville, Kentucky; step-son, Will Leach and and his wife Heidi of Bismark, North Dakota; step-daughter, Tsarina Metker and her husband Oron of Calgary, Alberta; grandchildren, Blake Fossitt, Maggie Fossitt, Allison Breeze, Cameron Cooper, Cassidy Metker, Caitlin Metker, Carly Metker, Brent Metker, Abby Metker, Alexis Leach, Adisyn Leach, Ava Leach; sister, Susan Curry of Sarasota, Florida; brothers, Larry Fossitt and John Fossitt, both of Maysville, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Fossitt. A memorial service hosted by his children, Tim, Angie and Lori will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 1 p.m., at New Hope Christian Church, Maysville, Kentucky. There will be a family memorial in Elberton on October 6,2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-601.
