Donald Norman Maxwell

Mr. Donald Norman “Don” Maxwell, 69, of Melody Lane, Elberton, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mr. Maxwell was born on March 30, 1953, in Elberton, GA to Elmer Harper Maxwell and Doris Lance Maxwell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton where he served as a past deacon. Don was a graduate of Georgia Southern College where he received a BBA degree in accounting.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen “Kathy” Spivey Maxwell of the home; son, Grayson Maxwell of Nashville, TN; daughter, Kelly Anthony of Atlanta, GA; brothers: Tom Maxwell of Elberton, GA, Andy Maxwell of Augusta, GA; sister, Susan Maxwell Hill of Elberton, GA; two grandchildren who absolutely loved their “Pops”: Charlotte and Savannah; and a host of other relatives.

A memorial gathering celebrating Don’s life will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Wednesday, January 11, at Berry Funeral Home.
