Donald William Ord

Mr. Donald William Ord, Sr., 77 of Gene Smith Rd., Carlton, GA husband of Dorothy Burket Ord passed away Thursday December 10, 2015. Mr. Ord was born January 26, 1938 in Newark, NJ to the late Jack Irwin Ord and Lydia Shaw Ord Lukeman. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of Rotary International, a retired manager from a VW Dealership in New Jersey and attended Vesta Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Dorothy Burket Ord; son Donald William Ord, Jr. of Basking Ridge, NJ, daughters Debra Lynn Quave and Dawn Marie Moravek both of Vesta, GA; sister Marilyn Ord Thompson of Johnson City, TN, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Ord Soffiotto. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 11AM, Tuesday December 15 at Vesta Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Bruce officiating. The family is at the home and will receive friends from 10:30-11AM Tuesday just prior to the service at Vesta Baptist Church.
