Miss Donia Mae Davis, 90, of Jones Street, Elberton, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Miss Davis was born in Elberton on July 23, 1931, daughter of the late George Davis and Paralee Daniel Davis. She was a member of Bethel Grove Baptist Church and a domestic worker having worked at Todd’s Cleaners and Starr Cleaners.

Survivors include her children: Woodrow Davis, Mae Sue Hardman, and Ernestine Davis, all of Elberton; brother and sisters-in-law: Willie and Gussie Davis; Elnora Davis; five grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Eugene Dye.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, March 13, at 2 o’clock at Bethel Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Mae Sue Hardman.
