Mrs. Donna E. Biering Dean, 60, of Charles Butler Drive, Elberton, wife of 12 years to Lucky Joe Dean, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Dean was born in Charleston, SC on February 27, 1958, daughter of the late Allen Rudolph Biering and Peggy Ruth Climer Biering. She was a self-employed restaurant owner currently operating The Biscuit Barn and formerly operating Donna’s Place and Raceway. Donna loved riding horses and spending time in the mountains.
Survivors include her husband, Lucky Joe Dean; children: Donna Michelle Phillips and Tony of Elberton, Dawn Dobbs and Trent of Jefferson, and Dustin Reid Reinfeld of Daytona Beach, FL; sister, Teresa “Teri” McCaffrey and Shawn of Allen, TX; grandchildren: Michael Blake Bennett, Kristen Rae Rice, Caylei Paris Collins, and Daylon Dobbs; and great-grandson, Dom Collins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Kyle Daniel Freeman.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, August 28, at 2 o’clock in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00p.m. on Monday evening.
