Doris Wilene Brady

Mrs. Doris Wilene McMullan Brady, 90, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.A native of Elbert County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Martin and Lessie Greenway McMullan.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Wanda Brady Yeargin, and a brother, Jimmy McMullan.Mrs. Brady had worked throughout her life as a bookkeeper and as a sales associate for Firestone Tire Co., and then later for Sanders Furniture Co. in Elberton.She was a longtime member of Rock Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include one grandson, Nicholas Yeargin and his wife, Jenny, of Milton, Georgia; one granddaughter, Megan Yeargin of Los Angeles, California; son-in-law, Mike Yeargin of Alpharetta, Georgia; and two great-grandchildren, Adeline and Ella Yeargin. She also leaves behind five siblings: Juanita Brown, Sara Durham, Bobbie Hall, Hubert McMullan, and Donnie McMullan. A service to celebrate Mrs. Brady’s life was held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Rock Branch Baptist Church, with Rev. Kevin Vaughn officiating.Interment followed in the church cemetery with Terry Brown, Gary McMullan, Greg Johnson, Jason McMullan, Jeff McMullan, and Dallas Yeargin serving as pallbearers. A time of visitation began at 1:00 p.m. at the church just prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Rock Branch Baptist Church Bus Fund, 2150 Coldwater Rd., Elberton, GA 30635. Arrangements for Mrs. Wilene McMullan Brady were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
