Dorothy Mae Bales

Dorothy Mae Bales, age 74, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at her residence under the care of Bridgeway Hospice.  

Dot was born in Athens to the late William Sorrow and Ida Mae Weaver Sorrow.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband whom she married when she was 14; and by her sister, Jackie Sorrow.  

She will be remembered for her unique personality and her love for others.

She is survived by her five children, Ronnie Bales (Judy), Johnny Bales, Lisa Bales (Danny Dutton), Keith Bales (Ann), and Dwayne Bales (Olivia); sister, Sandra Couch (Lonnie); seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Macedonia Independent Holiness Church cemetery in Danielsville.  Chaplain Eric Buffington will officiate.
