Dorothy Holloway Snider

Dorothy Christine Holloway Snider, 94 years old of Lincolnton, GA passed peacefully in her
sleep, just as she asked the Lord to take her, on Sunday, November 10, 2019. She lived an exemplary Christian life, honoring her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Martin’s
Crossroads Congregational Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Beggs Funeral Home.

She is survived by 3 sons, Rollins Snider and wife, Marie, of Roswell, GA; Mike Snider, of
Cleveland, GA; Steve Snider and wife, Robin, of Lincolnton, GA; daughter-in-law Angela
Snider of Elberton, GA; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, who all adored her. She
is also survived by the last living of the Holloway children, Betty Banks Stephens.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Ralph Willis Snider, and her son
Willis Todd Snider; her parents Benjamin Paul and Sara Blanche Ross Holloway; her siblings,
Eunice Craven, Pauline Lewis, Mavis Flanigan, Nelle Parton, Ross Holloway, Virginia Silvey,
Lois Bohler, Bonnie Holloway, Billy Holloway, Bobby Holloway and Joyce Parton.

Her children and grandchildren knew just how loved they were because she told them each
time she saw them multiple times. Her family all know how precious they are to her because
she made sure she told every one. If you knew Dot Snider, you knew she loved you, no
matter who you are. If you knew her then you know how much she loves Jesus and that she
wanted everyone to know the love of God. She had an incredible prayer ministry. There were
many people to come through her home over the years, who have been prayed for, many
saved and even healed in the Name of Jesus. She served for 50 years as a Sunday School
teacher at Martins Crossroads Church, as well as in Women Ministries and the choir. She was
well known for her legendary skills in the kitchen and was even featured in the Atlanta
Magazine a few years back.

Many grandchildren and spouses submitted their words to share about her. There were
many common things said: “She is the sweetest and Godliest woman I have ever known.”
“She is rejoicing with our loved ones and praising The Savior she loves so much.” “She found
great joy in giving. She was happiest when her home was jam packed with members of her
family.” “When I remember the love for Mama Dot, I think of the unrestricted love she
showed to each and everyone of us. It was an irreplaceable focal point of my day that gave
me courage, con?dence, and made me feel truly loved.” “Many times when she talked
about heaven she would tell me of all the people who were there that she would get to see.”
“Her scrambled eggs were somehow better than anyone else’s, her biscuits had no rival,
and all of Lincoln County knows about her Red Velvet Cake.”

“Because of her great faith, our Papa and Uncle Todd are in heaven and my father, uncles,
and cousins all know the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Her greatest legacy is the one
that gives us the hope that we will see her again in Heaven.”
