Dorothy Mae Nixon

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Patterson McKee Nixon, 87, of E. Curtis St. Simpsonville, SC formerly of Hartwell, GA passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

Mrs. Nixon was born September 9, 1930 in Carnesville, GA to Lester Patterson and Lula Mckee Patterson. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include her children: Wanda Allen of Stokesdale, NC, Jeanette Caulder of Walnut Grove, NC, Jackie Giles of Pelzer, SC, Jerri Andrews of Piedmont, SC, Tena Leslie of Greenville, SC; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands: James McKee, Jr., Charles J. Nixon, Jr. a son: Dale McKee, and daughters: Linda Powell, Yvonne Lanier and ten brothers and one sister.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 2PM, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM just before the service at Berry Funeral Home.
