Mrs. Dorothy Iris Gaddis Rosser, 88, of Dewy Rose, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in Elbert Memorial Hospital.She was a native of Athens and the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Pulliam Gaddis.Her husband of over 65 years, Bill Joshua Rosser, preceded her in death, and also her sister, Joan Baughman. Mrs. Rosser was retired from Elbert Memorial Hospital where she had worked as a nurse. She also had worked at Cobb Memorial Hospital and the Foundation of Georgia. She was a member of Stinchcomb United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 23rdat 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. John Sexton and Rev. Emily Case officiating.Grandsons Vince Rosser, Ashley Yarbrough, Heath Yarbrough, Jonathan Rosser, Chad Bailey, and Adam Wickliffe served as pallbearers. Joshua Rosser served as an honorary pallbearer. Entombment followed in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery.The family received friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service. Left to cherish Mrs. Rosser’s memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth J. and Cynthia Rosser, of Dacula; and three daughters:Billi R. Yarbrough of Elberton, Diana Wickliffe of Anderson, SC,and Cheri and her husband, James Bailey, of Elberton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Heath Yarbrough, Ashley Yarbrough, Starr Kelsey, John Adam Wickliffe, Sherry W. Gray, Leslie Johnson, Chad Bailey, Vince Rosser, Jonathan Rosser, and Joshua Rosser; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ima Rosser Oglesby of Dewy Rose.
