Dorothy Lee Tucker

Mrs. Dorothy Lee Broome Tucker, 93, of Bowman, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Hartwell Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Tucker was the daughter of the late Robert and Lula Thompson Broome.She was married to the late Charles H. Tucker, with whom she had celebrated over 50 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Gary Barton, her brothers, Jim Broome and Body Broome, and her sister, Ion B. Temple.Mrs. Tucker worked in the textile industry for most of her life.She loved her family dearly, and was loved by all who knew her.It could be said that she “never met a stranger” as she made lasting friendships throughout the days of her life. Mrs. Tucker is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and John Barton of Bowman; a grandson, Neil Barton; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, “Sweet Girl” Austyn Harrell. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mrs. Tucker’s life is being planned and will be announced as soon as that information is available. Arrangements for Mrs. Dorothy Lee Tucker were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
