Dr. Harry J. Dunaway

Dr. Harry J. Dunaway, 85 of Owl Creek Rd., Comer, GA husband of Joy M. Bacon Dunaway passed away Friday February 17, 2017 at his home.

Dr. Dunaway was born March 8, 1931 in Waycross, GA to the late Elwell and Sylvia Dunaway. He was of the Methodist faith, U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War and was a retired chiropractor where he owned and operated Dunaway Chiropractic in Athens, GA for over 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years Joy M. Dunaway; sons: Mark Dunaway of Oconee County, Dana Dunaway of Athens, GA, Scott Dunaway of Williamton, NC; daughters: Kim Pierce and Ginger Lineberry both of Athens, GA and three grandchildren Danielle Dunaway, Alexander Dunaway and Hannah Marlowe.

Dr. Dunaway's wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
