Dywane Nelson Burney

Dywane Nelson Burney, 69, of 44 West Ginn Street, Bowman, husband of Theresa Grace Cruz Burney, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at his home. Mr. Burney was born in Elbert County, August 27, 1943, to the late Flem Burney and Willie Mae Pulliam Burney. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Moose Lodge. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of the home; sons, Dwayne Burney of Bowman; daughter, Desiree Blais of Lavonia; sister, Pat Jordan of Elberton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Following a private family gathering at Berry Funeral Home on Sunday, September 2, 2012, Mr. Burney will be cremated. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
