Edna Grimes Merritt

Edna Grimes Merritt, 81 of 496 Childers Road, Colbert, widow of the late Jesse L. Merritt passed away Sunday evening, September 4, 2011, at her residence under the care of Hospice Advantage. Born in Oglethorpe County, September 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Henry Grimes and Esther Bell Grimes. She was of the Lutheran Faith and a retired from Cobb County where she was a accountant. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Patsy Simmons of Colbert, GA, Karla Ward of Colbert, GA, and Vicki Barbur of Marietta, GA; a sister, Betty Tiller of Smyrna, GA; and three grandchildren. The family has chose cremation to honor Mrs. Merritt's wishes and inurnment will be in GA Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Condolences may be sent online to the family at www.berryfh.com.
