Eleanor McQueen Shaw

Mrs. Eleanor McQueen Shaw, 91, of Lake Forest Drive, Elberton, wife of the late Robert Earl Shaw, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Pruitt Health at Spring Valley. 

Mrs. Shaw was born in Lumberton, NC on October 31, 1933, daughter of the late Ed and Ruth Birge McQueen. 

Mrs. Shaw is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Janie Shaw; grandchildren: Charles Shaw, Jr., Tamira and Mark Nickerson, and Kimberly Shaw; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and a host of friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. 

Eleanor was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for 54 years, and served for over 40 years as a full-time minister. 

Memorial services celebrating her life will be conducted on Saturday, January 25, at 2:00p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1349 Mineral Springs Road, Elberton.
