Elfrieda Lunsford Haynes

Mrs. Elfrieda Lunsford Haynes, 87, of Elberton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday morning, July 19, 2016 at Nancy Hart Nursing Center.Mrs. Haynes was born on April 15, 1929in Elberton, to the late Seab and Eva Colvard Lunsford.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Thomas Haynes, and an infant brother. Mrs. Haynes worked for the City of Elberton for 40 years as a secretary.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Elberton. Mrs. Haynes is survived by Glen Parham, Ann Craft, Judy Walters, Mary Thomas Crittendon, Troyce Holland, Cynthia Williams, and a special friend, Anna Merle Parham. A funeral service for Mrs. Haynes was held at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home on Friday, July 22, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Gary Purvis officiating. A time of visitation was held on Thursday evening at the funeral home, and Mrs. Haynes' interment was at Forest Hills Memorial Park following the funeral service. Flowers were accepted, and memorial contributions may be made to the Holly Springs Baptist Church, 3308 Pulliam Mill Rd, Bowman, GA30624. Arrangements for Mrs. Elfrieda Lunsford Haynes were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
