Elizabeth Ann Rice Goolsby

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Rice Goolsby, age 81, of Elberton, wife of 45 years to the late Fred W. Goolsby, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Spring Valley Health Care Center. Mrs. Goolsby was born in Hart County on March 1, 1933, to the late James Robert Rice and Mary Lee Sims Rice. She was a retired AVON saleslady and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memories are her children: Johnny Goolsby and his wife Donna of Elberton, Sybil G. Tucker and her husband Woody, and Susan Goolsby Mincey, all of Hartwell; three granddaughters: Lynn Jarrell and her husband Carl, Krystal Mincey, and Ashley Tucker; two great-grandsons: Cody Jarrell and his wife Christine and Zack Jarrell; three great-great-grandsons: Carson, Garrett, and Jesse; and sister, Lynda Rice of Daytona Beach, Florida. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, June 12, at 11:00a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Private entombment will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum with Woody Tucker, Cody Jarrell, Zack Jarrell, Carl Jarrell, Tony Dickerson, and Ed Brooks honored as pallbearers. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00a.m. Thursday morning. Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church.
