Elizabeth Neese Evans

Mrs. Elizabeth Neese Evans, 91, of Elberton, Georgia, Montevideo Community passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Lake Haven Nursing Home in Valdosta, Georgia.Mrs. Evans was born in Starr, South Carolina to the late John and Minnie Neese. She is survived by two sons, John Thomas “Tommy” Evans, Jr. (Patricia Ann) of Ray City, Georgia andJimmy Evans (Judy Lynn) of Springfield, Tennessee.She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, John T. Evans, she is preceded in death by siblings, Walt Neese, Herbert “Bing” Neese, Phil Neese, Margaret Arnold, Louise Holland and great-grandson, Austin Evans. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Evans was held Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1971 Montevideo Road, Elberton, GA30635 with Rev. Don Nestor and Grandson James David Evans officiating.Interment followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements for Mrs. Elizabeth NeeseEvans were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
