Elizabeth Stephens Clodfelter, 85, of Championship Drive, Athens, wife of the late Charles F. Clodfelter, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at Athens Heritage Home. Mrs. Clodfelter was born in Atlanta, July 9, 1928, to the late Luther B. and Sarah Chick Stephens. Early in life, she was employed by the F.B.I. and later became a secretary in the pharmacy industry. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Confederacy, and was an Episcopalian by faith. Left to cherish her memories are three daughters, Mary Shellnutt of Athens, Sally Barker of Conyers, and Peggy Halverson of Plant City, FL; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date by the family. Berry Funeral Home & Crematory, Elberton, is respectfully in charge of arrangements for Elizabeth Stephens Clodfelter.
