Emily Kelley Peeples

Ms. Emily Kelley Peeples, 65, of Elberton, Georgia passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at her home. Emily was born in Griffin, Georgia, and was predeceased by her parents, Emory and Orlana Kelley, and Nellie Phillips and Jack Pass, and a brother, Billy Phillips. She retired as a logistics manager from Everlasting Granite Company.She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Emily is survived by two sons: Frank Emory Peeples and his wife, Tavi, of Lavonia, and Jeff Peeples of Houston, TX; and two precious grandchildren: Ada Peeples and Emory Peeples.She also leaves behind several siblings: Tommy Phillips, Katie Phillips, and James Phillips, all of Los Angeles, CA, and Randy Pass, Connie Pass House, Debbie Pass Sanders, and Charles Pass, all of Griffin. A service to celebrate Ms. Peeples’ life was held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Deep Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Adams and Rev. Richard Fife officiating.Michael Hewell, Sandy Fowler, Wade Fife, Pete Maxwell, Barry Mathews, and Bobby Dunn served as pallbearers. A time of visitation for family and friends was held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Arrangements for Ms. Emily Kelley Peeples are in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
