Mrs. Essie Hall Almond Adams, 77, of Dewy Rose, GA passed away Wednesday evening, May 1, 2013. Mrs. Adams was born in Athens, Georgia to the late Will Bynum and Bessie Fitzpatrick Almond.She was married to Mr. Woodrow Abner Adams, and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 30th of this year.She was a longtime member of Stinchcomb United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Adams is survived by a daughter, Carol Adams; three sons:James W. Adams, Bruce Adams and his wife, Shell, all of Dewy Rose, and Billy K. Adams and his wife, Janet, of Bowman.She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother, William T. Almond. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph Adams, and a sister, Janelle Maxwell. A service to celebrate Mrs. Adams’ life was held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at The Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home with Reverend John Sexton officiating. Entombment followed atForest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum with grandsons Brandon Harris, Byron Adams, Tim Adams, Alex Evans, Bobby Davis, Matthew Morris and Kyle Adams serving as pallbearers.
