Mr. Ethan Parker Carnes, 27, of Montevideo Road, Elberton, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

Parker was born in Elberton on April 29, 1997, son of James Donald “Jamie” Carnes and Kristie Scoggins Callaway. He was a graduate of Elbert County High School and attended Rock Branch Baptist Church. Parker loved working with his hands, tinkering with things and fixing things.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn Boatright Carnes; sons: James Parker Carnes and Riley Owen Carnes; grandparents, Jimmy and Frances Carnes of the home; aunt, Tammy Carnes Teasley; sister, Nikki and PJ Peters; stepfather, Jamie Callaway; stepbrother and sister: Blaze and Kayli Callaway; three nieces; two nephews; and two great nieces.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends on Monday, November 4, from 3:00-3:45p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 4:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
