Etta Mae Burns O'Dell

Etta Mae Burns O'Dell, 89, of 651 Rhodes Drive, Elberton, Georgia widow of the late Henry O'Dell, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012. Born in Hart County, April 12, 1923 to the late James Samuel Burns and Etta Reed Burns. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, a retired seamstress from Elberton MFG and the last surviving member of her immediate family. Left to cherish her memories are a son and daughter-in-law James and Linda O'Dell of Elberton, Georgia; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, April 21, at 2PM in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. David McConnell and Rev. James Gunn officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park with Doug Lathan, Shawn Williams, Kenneth Williams and Josh White serving as pallbearers. The O'Dell family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2PM Saturday just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.
