Evelyn Rosetta Gardner

Mrs. Evelyn Rosetta Revels Gardner, 83, of Elberton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Anderson, South Carolina. Mrs. Gardner was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, and was the wife of Clifford LeRoy Gardner, having celebrated 37 years of marriage.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Sullivan. In addition to her husband, Clifford, Mrs. Gardner is survived by two sons:Richard (Marie) Garner of Lavonia, and Randolph “Randy” Eugene Garner of Elberton;two daughters:Margaret Garner of Hartwell, and Linda Gail (Gerald) Virgilio of Elberton;and brothers:Jack Revels, Carl Revels, and Jimmy Revels.She also leaves behindgrandchildren:Renee Oviedo, Kristen Oviedo, Christa Bolman, Joshua Bolman, Robert Garner, Raymond Garner, and Andy Garner;9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hicks Funeral Home.Interment followed in Elmhurst Cemetery. Arrangements for Mrs. Evelyn Revels Gardner were in the care of Hicks Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Elberton.
