Evelyn Lovin Thornton

Mrs. Evelyn Lovin Thornton, 93, of Petersburg Rd., Elberton, GA passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Thornton was born in Lawrenceville, GA on May 10, 1924 to William Henry Lovin and Margaret Hall Lovin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elberton and was a homemaker.

She is survived by siblings: Shirley Williams of Elberton, GA, Henry Lovin of Conyers, GA; son-in-law: Billy R. Brown; grandchildren: Chris Brown, Deanne and Edward Bulger; great-grandchildren: Emma Brown, Luke Brown, Madison Bulger, Jesse Bulger and Aleia Bulger.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Edwin Arnold Thornton, Sr.; son: Eddie Thornton; daughter: Harriet Brown; and siblings: Clyde Lovin, Blanton Lovin and Blondean McAllister.

At Mrs. Thornton's requests she was cremated and no services are planned.

Internment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.
