Mrs. Mary Frances Holloman King, 92, of Carlton, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital. Mrs. King was born in Carlton, Georgia to the late Harry and Ruby Gunter Holloman.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jackson King; two brothers, William “Bud” Holloman and George Alton Holloman; and two sisters, Helen Bailey and Ann Chambers.Mrs. King worked as a seamstress at Comer Manufacturing before her retirement, and was the oldest female member of Carlton Baptist Church. Mrs. King is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Betty King of Lexington; three grandchildren and their spouses: Steven and Tracey King, Matt and Kendra King, and Cody and Lacey King; six great-grandchildren: Karen Bufford (Brett), Bryson King, Kamryn King, Landon King, Ollie Frances King, and Jeb King; and two great-great-grandchildren, Hudson Bufford and Mattie Grace Bufford.She also leaves behind several siblings:Walter Allen Holloman, Johnny Cecil Holloman (Grace), Bobby Holloman (Syble), Martha Fortson (G.B.), Jimmy Holloman (Jan), and Harriette Holloman. A service to celebrate Mrs. King’s life was held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Carlton Baptist Church.Interment followed in the Carlton City Cemetery.A time of visitation began at 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
