Mrs. Frances Rousey Guest, 78, of Carlton, wife of the late Thomas Emory Guest, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at Elbert Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Guest was born in Madison County on November 18, 1936, to the late Melvin and Pauline Shaw Rousey. She was a retired seamstress and a member of New Town Baptist Church. She was the mother of four children, all of whom preceded her in death: Gary Thomas Guest, Donna Guest Duncan, Denise Guest Erwin, and Debra Guest Callaway. She is survived by two sons-in-law: Dennis Duncan and Billy Erwin, both of Elberton; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings: Jeanette Fowler, Roger Rousey, Paul Rousey, and James Rousey; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband, and children, she is preceded in death by siblings: J.W. Rousey, Carolyn Phillips, Waydean Borders, Gene Rousey, and Wendell Rousey, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, February 27, at 3:00p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home from 2:00p.m. until the service hour on Friday afternoon.
