Frances Stowers Dunn

Frances Stowers Dunn, 87, of 1754 Marion Road, Elberton, died Friday, December 2, 2011. Born in Elbert County, she was the wife of the late Tharon Dunn and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.U. Whitman and Mr. Marion C. Stowers. She retried from the Hartwell Garment Company as an inspector. She was a member of Coldwater United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 50 years. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Beth Dunn and Marion Dunn, all of Elberton; grandchildren, Laura Dunn Nickolich and Lanier Dunn; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Marielle Nickolich; friend of the family, Tony Graham; and sisters, Betty Vesper of Sarasota, FL, Helen Crump of Hartwell, and Peggy Whitman of Cleveland, GA. Funeral services will be held Monday morning, December 5 at 11:00AM at Coldwater United Methodist Church with the Revs. Allen Carmichael, Nancy Morgan, and Mike Nickolich officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Jimmy & Beth Dunn, 2711 Guy Wilson Road, Elberton, and will receive friends at the Berry Funeral Home from 6-8PM Sunday evening.
